    they make square watermelons in japan so that it can fit more agreeably in your refrigerator.

    how do they go about making square watermelons? that sounds unnatural, but very convenient.

    they grow the watermelon in a box so it takes the shape of the box
    it is very unnatural and convenient. but people don't purchase whole watermelons too often anyway. so it is convenient when you get a watermelon, but that doesnt happen much.
